Sir David Attenborough might just have the most recognizable voice in conservation, and with good reason — he has worked in British broadcasting and been teaching us all about the natural history of our shared world since before 1954. Since that time, as the narrator of BBC nature documentaries like Blue Planet, Blue Planet II and, the newest, Netflix’s A Life On Our Planet, Attenborough’s voice has risen to the forefront of the environmental movement.

This sixty-six year legacy is a beautiful testament to the stubborn nature of your shared sign, the Bull. Taurus, you are unstoppable.

This day marked the beginning of Intersectional Environmentalist, a platform founded by Leah, dedicated to dismantling systems of oppression in the environmental movement.

This month, the forward-facing momentum of the Sun in Sagittarius encourages us all to embrace new ideas, and to explore new paths. The dual nature of the Twins lends itself well to change, and to Gemini’s knack for seeing the world through multiple lenses. We’re pretty sure it’s no coincidence that Leah Thomas, a Sagittarius sun with a Gemini moon, is leading the initiative towards a rebirth of the environmentalist movement — one that is better for the planet and people.

The magnanimous spirit of the Lion shines bright within you, Leo, and this month we’re taking a page out of your book and looking to the stars — both those in the Milky Way and in the movies. Superstar Chris Hemsworth doesn’t just play fictional heroes in Hollywood —he’s a hero in the real world too. In true Leo form, Chris stood up for the little guy this October when he teamed up with conservationist Tim Faulkner, Aussie Ark, Wild Ark and Global Wildlife Conservation to reintroduce the Tasmanian Devil to mainland Australia, where they have been extinct for 3,000 years—until now.

The importance of this historic comeback cannot be understated. As ecosystem engineers, Tasmanian Devils keep forests healthy by reducing the buildup of flammable material on the forest floor. Rewilding the Tasmanian Devil on mainland Australia will help keep forests cool and reduce the severity of fires. Right now, with the Sun and Mercury in Sagittarius until December 20th, we are more likely than usual to seek new information. So keep your eyes peeled Leo.

From the stage, Peltier demanded an end to single-use plastic and reminded the world of water’s sacred nature, and its inalienable right and shared need across countries, creeds, and cultures.
