In May 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic, Team Lonely Whale hosted a week long conversation series to talk about eco-anxiety. Hosted by Meg Lazaros, we spoke with experts across industries to connect the dots between the environment, our mental health, and how we can overcome eco anxiety together. As our first guest, Jamie Margolin, so aptly stated: "You are not alone, the anxiety that you're feeling is being felt by millions." Dive deeper into the conversations below.

Jamie Margolin, 18 year old co-founder of Zero Hour, joined us to talk about her experience with eco-anxiety and how we can work together to support each other.

Art is a powerful medium for change. Whether it is changing a political system or the public’s thoughts about plastic. Our guest Piera Gelardi, Creative Director and Co-Founder of Refinery29, said it best: “Art is so much about noticing. And so often when we see different art forms it crystallizes something in ourselves.”

What will life look like when the pandemic has passed? Although no one knows just yet, we’ve already seen incredible changes across cultures. Tori Tsui, climate activist and mental health advocate, joins us to share her observations about shelter in place and the renewed sense of community within the environmental movement.
